One of my favorite things to do as a designer is create for print. Some of my favorite projects I have designed or been apart of at Qosina and Qosmedix are our print mailers or mini catalogs. Showcased here are just a handful of the mailers we have done over the last few years.
Every mailer is different, but timing is always the biggest feat to overcome. My favorite mailers typically are the most challenging with sizing and fitting everything we need to convey our message. Seeing the end result is always enjoyable.
Most mailers begin with small sketches to get an idea of how many panels we might need to fit all of our content and once we have all of our written materials and images we would like to use within our mailer I start laying out in InDesign the best I can to accommodate. Usually this takes time especially if more charts or illustrations are needed to better communicate our offerings.
I love working on the illustrations for our print materials since it helps me flex my skills. I tend to think I am not the best at illustrating, even though it's one of the more fun things I get to do as a designer.
End products are always fun to see, the rare misprint always adds some interest to the job as well (that's not an invite to let it happen more though!).
